One from the entrance, called the apeador (apear means to get off of a horse, and this patio was where guests would leave their horses to enter the house). Bougainvilla...so pretty. It's in almost every photo.

Friday March 21
Friday we all went to Casa de Pilatos – this is the only attraction in the city that was open on Good Friday. On the way we walked by the university building, and I was hoping to show Mom and Dad the inside of the building so they could see how hard it is to find one’s way around in there, but of course it was locked from every entrance point. So we walked on to Casa de Pilatos. It was even more beautiful than the last time I visited it in January. This time the sun was shining and the flowers were in bloom. See?

Dad and me, chillin with a ton of Bougainvilla.
Dad and me, walking through the lovely gardens. Casa de Pilatos has had amazing gardens since it was built centuries ago. This was possible because of the running water that was built into the house - an extremely expensive, high-maintenance feature available only to the very wealthiest residents of the city.
A cute one of Mom and me, sitting in a tiled window niche...with Bougainvilla in the background.

Seville , for drinks. The waiter seemed to not notice we were there at all, and every step of ordering drinks, getting the drinks, asking for the check and getting the check all seemed to take years, which was not unusual for Seville , but it was annoying. The patio of the hotel, as well as the hotel itself (which was ordered by the king himself for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929) were really pretty. I think Mom has pictures of it.
