Monday-Thursday March 24-27

Not much this week besides attending the ever-boring university classes. Wednesday I packed my suitcase and on Thursday after my CIEE class I headed to Seville airport to meet up with Mom and Dad, to head to Lisbon! I had been excited about this trip for a really long time.

We left Thursday late afternoon and had to go to Barcelona (complete opposite side of Spain, next to France), land at the international airport there and then go to Lisbon. A tiiiiny bit indirect, but we still got there without it being too late at night.

As soon as I got on the plane and heard “obrigada” (“thank you”) in Portuguese I knew I was in trouble. I had assumed Spanish and Portuguese would be pretty much interchangeable. My mistake...
